So Happy to Say we are ALMOST Back
Due to CoVID-19 some of our Programs are not running for this season in order to satisfy the operating recommendations from Skate Canada and Alberta Health Services
As such, the NSC Executive and Coaches are working hard behind the scenes to ensure a safe start to our skating season. We miss the ice and our skaters and we can't wait to see you!
Important changes due to COVID-19: You can see the full Return to Skating Guidelines published by Skate Canada here.
Skaters ad Coaches must arrive dressed and with skates on and ready to take the ice.
The club must conduct contact tracing -- this means every lesson the parent who brings the child must sign in
Any previous Pre-Canskaters will need to be evaluated to ensure that they can participate safely on lesson. The child must be able to move on the ice and get up with-out help (more to come on the evaluation process)
Coaches and Program Assistants will not be able to hold/carry the children to help them skate. Coaches and PA's must use verbal cues when instructing as much as possible.
Skaters must be as physically distanced as much as possible
Anyone participating in the activity (athlete, volunteer, official, etc.) should proactively and regularly check their health status (including taking their temperature and monitoring for any symptoms) in advance of arriving at the venue. Anyone due to participate who is feeling ill should not come to the venue.
If you or your child wishes, a mask or other face covering may be worn while on the ice.
ALL Registration will be ONLINE and email money transfers to the club are preferred.
We plan to provide more detailed information in early September, so please be patient with us as we develop additional resources for our parents and skaters.
Wishing you all the best!
The NSC Executive
