FAQ

How do I pay for my child's lessons?

Group lessons are included as part of your registration fee and can be paid by cheque, cash or email money transfer. Cheques are to be made payable to: The Nanton Skating Club.

Private Lessons are paid directly to the coach that billed you; usually by cheque or cash. Please discuss this with the coach as to their preference.

What should my child wear for class?

The Nanton rink is COLD! Please ensure that your child dresses in layers as this will afford them the best way to regulate their body temperature

For CanSkate kids: we encourage you to dress them in snow pants, warm coat, CSA approved  helmet, warm mits or gloves, and warm socks and SKATES!

Are your classes insured?

Yes. Your child is covered under Skate Canada's General Insurance while on the ice surface.  The cost of this is included in your registration fee.

Can we still join your classes after the term has started?

Yes. Please contact us by email to discuss mid season starts and registration pro-rating.

Can parents watch?

YES! We encourage parents to watch their children from the stands during lesson time.

We kindly ask that parents refrain from sitting in the players box as this is a distraction to your child during their lesson.

Junior and Senior STARSkate begin the week of September 16th.

All other regular programming will begin the week of October 9th.

My child wants to compete. Do you have advice for preparation?
