FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 

How do I pay for my child's lessons?
 

The Nanton Skating club treasurer will invoice skaters at the end of each month for their private lessons & Dance lessons. The Skater and family will then pay via cash, cheque, team snap or email transfer.

What should my child wear for class?

 

The Nanton rink is COLD! Please ensure that your child dresses in layers as this will afford them the best way to regulate their body temperature

 

For CanSkate kids: we encourage you to dress them in at least two layers of pants, at least two layers of top (thermal long sleeve & sweater, warm coat, CSA approved  helmet, warm mitts or gloves, and warm socks and SKATES!

 

Are your classes insured?

 

Yes. Your child is covered under Skate Canada's General Insurance while on the ice surface.  The cost of this is added to your registration fee.

 
Are children required to wear helmets?

As a club we follow  Skate Canada's Helmet Policy.​

Does the club fundraise? â€‹

Yes. In the registration package through team snap there will be a Fundraising obligation form which states that if you wish to be exempt from fundraising you must pay $250 per member when you register as your fundraising contribution.

Can we still join your classes after the term has started?

 

Yes. Please contact us by email to discuss mid season starts and registration pro-rating.

 

Can parents watch?

 

YES! We encourage parents to watch their children from the stands during lesson time.

We kindly ask that parents refrain from sitting in the players box as this distracts your child during their lesson.

 

What are your term dates?

 

All lessons begin the first week of October.
